Road - M4 route
Basically once on the M4, keep going west, we are 2 hrs beyond Cardiff.

* At M4 end roundabout, take A48 exit towards Carmarthen.
* At Carmarthen roundabout take A40 exit towards Haverfordwest.
* Continue on A40, at a roundabout with A478 take right exit marked for Cardigan. Take care on the winding country roads.
* At Cardigan roundabout (A478 with A487) go straight across and descend towards Cardigan.
* After about 0.5 mile turn left (in front of The Eagle PH) onto the B4546 for St. Dogmaels which is now only 1 mile away.
* Drive through St Dogmaels. After the Spar shop we are just on the left before Lees Carpet Shop

Road - Midlands route
* On the M6 at Jn 10A take M54 exit for Telford.
* On M54 at Jn 7 take A5 around Shrewsbury.
* On A5 at Jn with A458 take exit for Weshpool
* At Welshpool A458 Jn with A483 take exit for Newtown
* At Newtown A483 Jn with A489 take exit for Llanidloes / Llangurig
* After 6 miles A489 Jn with A470 take exit for Llangurig
* At Llangurig A470 Jn with A44 take exit for Aberystwyth
* At Aberystwyth look for A487 for Cardigan
* At Cardigan drive down the hill passing Tesco to the next roundabout.
* Go across the roundabout, over river & up the hill to next roundabout.
* At roundabout (A487 with A478) turn right and drop down towards Cardigan
* After 0.5 mile in front of The Eagle Inn public house turn left onto the B4546 for St. Dogmaels.
* Drive through St Dogmaels. After the Spar shop we are just on the left before Lees Carpet Shop

Rail
There are services into Pembrokeshire by train from Paddington, Reading, Swindon, Bristol, Cardiff and south-west Wales.
The nearest railway stations to St. Dogmaels are at:
Carmarthen (55 minutes away by car)
Clunderwen (30 minutes away by car),
Haverfordwest (45 minutes by car),
Fishguard (45 minutes by car).

From Carmarthen
Unfortunately, the bus service can take 1.5 hrs to reach Cardigan.

From Cardigan
The Poppit Rocket (405) and the Poppit Sands buses (407) run through St. Dogmaels and will stop outside Argo Villa if you ask the driver for the 'blue house' opposite the Ferry Inn in St. Dogmaels.

From Clunderwen
There are very few bus connections railway station.

From Fishguard
There is a bus service to Cardigan and in season there is also a Walkers Coast Path bus service that connects Fishguard with villages along the length of the Coast path. The Poppit Rocket section runs of the coast path service running between Newport and Cardigan stops right outside Poppit Cottage
