The Village -

* The 12th century abbey ruins and grounds are in the
centre of the village.
* The new coach house centre is located by the abbey.
* The village church contains the 'Segranus' stone with Irish Goidelic/Ogham and
latin inscription provided the key to deciphering the ancient Irish language.
* Y Felin is a working medieval corn mill with water
wheel and Mill Pond, and sells its own flour etc.

* The village festival is held during first 2 weeks of May, with high profile concerts and activities.
* A Shakespeare play is enacted within the abbey grounds during first week of
august.

Ferry Inn - just down the road towards Poppit
Sands, is on
the river with good views
Teifi Netpool Inn - 4 min walk, above river,
good for special dietary needs

Webley Hotel - 5 min drive, on estuary and good
place for bird watching,
Bowen's Fish & Chips - 5 min walk to the village's
superb licensed fish & chip shop with seating. It is
not open on Mondays.
Beaches

Poppit Sands Beach, 1.5 miles away is a Blue Flag expanse of sandy beach, backed by dunes with cafe, accessible toilets, lifeboat station with lifeguard facilities in the summer season. Excellent geological formations accessible at low tides. Level access.
Mwnt Beach, 20 mins drive is a National Trust owned small and secluded sandy beach, down many steps with kiosk and toilets. The headland, with it's 15thc church, is also a good place for watching dolphin and chough.
Ceibwr Bay Beach, a 20 minute drive or local bus journey to Moylegrove, a unspoilt secluded rocky cove with pebble beach, amazing cliff formations and views but has no facilities. The cliffs here are considered a good place to go to watch the sunset.
Local Entertainment
The Cellar bar (Y-Seler) is the Castle Cafe
by day. In the evenings it's a music venue, tickets usually cost
£5 and a set meal can be purchased
separately for £3 at any point in the evening up until 10pm. There is an interval at about 9:30pm
